Alexander Xi Yu is an associate of the firm who is building a practice focused on tax litigation. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015 after both summering and articling at the firm. He received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School.
Prior to law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Classical, Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Toronto, after which he completed a master’s degree in Late Antique and Byzantine Studies from the University of Oxford.
At Osgoode, he was actively involved in the law school community. He was an associate editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal, served in various roles on student government, and participated in Osgoode’s Intensive Program in Business Law which included a placement in the General Counsel’s office of a Canadian-based mining company.
In his spare time he enjoys studying ancient history and being a member of Canadian Armed Forces as an army reservist.
